Ron was elected as the Township Supervisor in November of 2016. He had been serving the Township as a member of the Planning Commission. His goal, as Supervisor, is to keep the Township on the progressive path that it is currently on. A personal goal of Ron's has always been to help young people become successful.

Ron has lived in the township since 1960 where he met and married his wife, Carolyn. Ron and Carolyn built their home on the property where she has lived all of her life. Their son, Steven, and his wife, Nancy, and their children, Matt and Sarah, live in Burnsville, MN. Ron's youngest son, Todd, was killed in an auto accident in 1987.

Ron retired from Eaton Corporation Kalamazoo where he was a Director of Quality and Reliability. His current interest is spending time on the family 20 acres, brush hogging with his Ford tractor, cutting firewood, and giving back to the community. He has been a Boy Scout Leader and is a Veteran of the Korean War.
